Artwork Requirements

Sending us your artwork

The better the file you send, the sharper the embroidery. Here's exactly what we can work with — and what to do if you don't have a perfect file.

Best file formats

  • Vector (ideal): AI, EPS, SVG, PDF — these scale to any size without losing quality.
  • High-resolution raster: PNG (transparent background preferred), JPG, TIFF at 300 DPI or higher.
  • Ready-to-stitch: DST or EXP, if you already have a digitised file.

What we'd rather avoid

  • Screenshots or photos of a screen
  • Images pulled from social media — these are heavily compressed
  • Files forwarded through WhatsApp image compression (send as Document instead to keep full quality)
  • Very small images enlarged to fit — the blur can't be recovered

Minimum quality

  • At least 1000 × 1000 pixels for a chest-sized design
  • Clear, defined edges — not blurry or pixelated
  • Good contrast between the design and its background

Don't have a good file?

That's completely fine. Send whatever you have and we'll take a look. In most cases we can redraw or clean up artwork so it's ready to stitch. If a file genuinely can't be used, we'll tell you honestly and suggest the best alternative.

About digitising

Every design has to be converted into stitch instructions before a machine can embroider it. This step is called digitising, and it's where the real craft happens — deciding stitch direction, density and layering so your design looks its best in thread.

We handle digitising in-house. If you already have a DST or EXP file, send it across and we'll check it before running.

Copyright

Please only send artwork you own or have permission to use. We aren't able to reproduce third-party logos, licensed characters or copyrighted designs without proof of authorisation.
